LOEUF participe au programme "Classe Affaires"
For a second year in a row LOEUF welcomed two students as part of the "Classe Affaires" program. The students, Evelyn Galdamez-Morales from Antoine-de-Saint-Exupéry hign school and Juliana Barrios Gaviria from Saint-Luc high school, took part in LOEUF's activities for a whole week.
Conférence au SAIE de Mexico
Last June 25, Bernard Olivier, partner at L'OEUF, presented a conference at the "Salón Internacional de la Edificación. The conference was part of a day of presentations on sustainable development in which Arturo Aispuro, Raul Huitron, Enrique Duarte, Jennifer Hassey et Jose Picciotto were involved.
Bernard Olivier's conference focused on L'OEUF's recent work on sustainable urbanism.
L'OEUF at the HOLCIM Mexico forum 2010
From April 14 to 17, Daniel Pearl and Bernard Olivier, partners at LOEUF, took part in the HOLCIM forum 2010, which was held in Mexico this year. They participated in visits on social arrangements and infrastructure; visit of Nexahualcoyotl, the largest unplanned community in Mexico. They also attended presentations given by Armory Lovins, chairman and chief scientist, Rocky Mountain Institute, titled “No more inefficiency” and Thom Mayne, principal, Morphosis Architects, titled “Nothing stands alone”.
Round table at Rendez-vous de l'habitation
Daniel Pearl participated in a round table discussion on the future of housing at the Rendez-vous de l'habitation organized by the Société d'habitation du Québec. The event took place on October 1st, 2007, at the Montreal Convention Center, on the occasion of World Habitat Day.
People's Urban Planning Project
L'OEUF will be participating in a People's Urban Planning Project for the CN Yards in Point St. Charles. The event will take place on the weekend of May 25-26-27. There will be a public information assembly to launch the project April 23, 7pm, at Café Paradoxe (255 Ash).
Conference in Budapest
Bernard Olivier will be giving a talk in Budapest on the 15th of June 2007. The conference is to discuss sustainable construction.
Daniel Pearl in Shanghai
Daniel Pearl is participating in the second Holcim forum held at Tongji University in Shanghai, China, April 19-21, 2007. The forum focuses on the theme of "urban_trans_formation". For more information visit the Holcim site here.
Lecture by L'OEUF in Mexico City
L'ŒUF has been invited by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México to present a lecture about our recent work.Bernard Olivier will present a lecture titled "Canadian bioclimatic architecture ?" at the Second international congress on High Tech and Bioclimatic architecture, held February 26 - March 1. The program for the event is now posted here. The lecture will mostly discuss our recent work on Green Energy Benny Farm.
Green Energy Benny Farm personality of the year
We are proud that Green Energy Benny Farm was recognized as "personality of the year" in the business, management and institution category by Montreal newspaper La Presse and Société Radio-Canada. The prize was received by Martin Roy, Daniel Pearl, Mark Podduiuk and Bernard Olivier at a gala held on Thursday January 11th, followed by an interview on program Bons Baisers de France broadcast on Sunday January 14th.
