Dieter Toews

Intern architect

Dieter has been a member of the L’oeuf team since 2011 and has 7 years of experience. He is holds a Master’s of Architecture from Mcgill and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours degree with a focus on design, new media and installation from the University of Manitoba, and a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from Carleton University with an emphasis on urban design. Dieter brings a diversity of professional work experience to L’OEUF, including posts at three architecture offices and a bureau for urban design. Dieter’s design and research interests encompass an eclectic range of practices from vernacular architecture and public space to computational design and digital fabrication. For Dieter the goal of sustainability in a project demands a responsive, nuanced, and humble strategy to design and he works to ensure that these core elements are present in any project he works on.
